GynePro: What's Up Down There?

Friday, March 11, 2016

Hello dearies! Weeks ago, I received a package containing another intimate wash. This time it was GynePro. This brand is not new to me. I've tried using this in the past, when the time I had a UTI (Urinary Tract Infection). My OB-GYNE advised me to use this antiseptic wash for a week and after that, it's recommend for twice a week use.

GynePro's want to educate more women about how to care for themselves and their lady parts. They find that many women are quite shy when it comes to asking questions about their intimate area, so GynePro wants to empower women by sharing the answers to common things about your intimate area that prolly you are too shy to ask. Know more about GynePro and important tips on how to take care of that area down there :)

GynePro: What's Up Down There?

GynePro
  • A superior antiseptic feminine wash with Chlorhexidine digluconate, proven to be the safest and most effective antiseptic intimate wash out in the market.
  • 2x fast-acting and longer-lasting protection*
  • Hard on harmful organisms, but gentle on skin
  • Does not stain the skin.
  • OB-Gynecologist–tested and recommended.
  • Supplements your daily feminine wash with extra care when you need it.
  • For use during your red days to ensure antiseptic cleanliness and protection!

GynePro: What's Up Down There?
Available in 60 ml (P 60.75)  and 150 ml (P 124.50)
Small bottle on the right is a Physician's Sample

Here are the common questions about the intimate area together with GynePro's tips:

“What’s the point behind giving my lady parts extra TLC during red days?”

Because the external genitalia are exposed to so much more possible bacteria during your red days, there is definitely a need to step up on your hygiene regimen. Change your pad regularly, use cotton underwear , avoid tight-fitting pants , wash yourself regularly, and choose an antiseptic feminine wash, like Gynepro , which has effective antibacterial yet vagina-caring properties.

"What in the world is pH balance? Why do I have to take care of my pH down there?

Steer clear of harsh soaps and cleansers; they wreak havoc on your vagina’s and vulva’s healthy pH levels. Instead, opt for a feminine wash that promises proper pH care for everyday use (like pH Care) and amp it up with a top antiseptic wash, like Gynepro , during your red days, when your external genitalia/vulva need extra pH pampering.

“What causes itching in my nether region?”

There are times when intervention is needed to reduce the bacterial load in your vaginal area, especially during your period. What you want is an intimate wash that cleanses you effectively. Studies show that while others may be effective against usual vaginal microorganisms, Gynepro takes vaginal hygiene a step further , providing at least double the cleanliness, while still maintaining a healthy balance down there.

“When else does my vajayjay need extra TLC? I’m just really OC about cleanliness—especially down there.”

Aside from red days, your intimate area also needs additional care when you’ve gone through vaginal surgery, like when you’ve just given birth or have undergone other vaginal procedures. Since the skin is broken and is in the process of healing, you don’t want to settle for just acceptable cleanliness. Gynerpro has Chlorhexidine digluconate, a clinical-strength but gentle antiseptic ingredient , that promises thorough cleaning during monthly red days or while you’re healing from vaginal procedures.

“How do I properly wash my lady bits?”

Washing at least once day is pertinent . During red days, though, washing more than once a day, with a potent but gentle cleanser like Gynepro , will be helpful to further prevent bacteria build-up that may lead to infection.

GynePro: What's Up Down There?Available in 60 ml (P 60.75)  and 150 ml (P 124.50)

According to Unilab's website:

General directions for use of GynePro:

  • Moisten the external genitalia with clean tap water
  • Pour one palmful (5 mL) of the antiseptic feminine wash and apply gently on the external genitalia
  • Rinse thoroughly with water and pat dry
  • For regular protection, use twice a week

For the indications below, follow general directions for use but apply the product for 1 minute before rinsing or use as prescribed by a doctor.
  • Protection against infection related to childbirth
  • For prompt healing of genital wounds (e.g. childbirth)
  • Post-partum care (after pregnancy)

  • Vaginitis (inflammation, marked by pain and discharge)

Say Thank You to Your Unsung Hero, the Unilab Way!

"Real courage is doing the right thing when nobody's looking. Doing the unpopular thing because it's what you believe, and the heck with everybody.” ― Justin Cronin, The Summer Guest. I believe that there's goodness in everyone. It doesn't matter if the act is big or small. I believe that there's a "hero" in each and every one of us. No need to suffer pain or death just to be recognized. In our family, I consider my parents as my unsung heroes. Both of them wasn't able to go to college. They've just finished their secondary level from  a public school. When they got married, my father's mom gave them a small investment so that they can sustain the needs of their growing family.

It was a roller coaster ride for my parents. The ups and downs of having a small scale business. We have a small bake shop and a sari-sari store before that prospered and have several branches. These was the bread and butter of the family. Our bakery business gave us a good life indeed. We were blessed in terms of material things. But when my father acquired diabetes and kidney disease, our bakery and sari-sari store needs to be shut down as we cannot maintain it anymore because of hospital bills, medications, and dialysis treatment. But my parents are really the unsung heroes for us. Even though my father is sick with stage 5 renal disease, he is still thinking of our future instead of just staying at home and enjoying his life.

He always tell us that even though we don't have that kind of resources that we have before, he will still strive hard to bring back the things we lost because of his battle to chronic kidney disease. My mother on the other hand is doing her best to take good care of my father and my nieces and nephews. Instead of going out with friends and relax or unwind, she is dedicating her time in doing household chores and attending to the needs of my father. Their HUSAY at MALASAKIT have helped me succeed in the life that I wanted to be. My UNSUNG HEROES- my parents!

Say Thank You to Your Unsung Hero, the Unilab Way!

Behind every Filipino is a loved one who has given them unconditional support with Husay at Malasakit through the years without asking for recognition. Unilab celebrates the Filipinos who make society a better place through the positive ways they impact the lives of those around them by giving their loved ones a unique chance to show their gratitude.

I'm sure everyone's excited to go to their summer escapades or to the dream destination that you have planned months ago. But first, let me tell you that travelling should not give you headaches and troubles from worrying too much about the things you need to bring with you. I always believe in travelling light- bringing essentials that will make your baggage fuss free. I've heard of so many horror travel stories from my friends and relatives and I must admit that I also experienced that before. The worst things do really happen like squirting shampoo, lotion or toothpaste inside your bag staining your clothes, broken makeup (my own experience) and spilling liquid like cologne and mouthwash!

And because I mentioned mouthwash, I'm happy that there are travel friendly sized mouthwash now being sold in the market today. No more pain in transferring them in small bottles in order to bring them with me every time I travel to provinces or simply to meetings or events. Pocket friendly mouthwash is a life saver! So when Swish sent me those cute little breath fresher, aside from the size which is totally adorbs , they have two exciting flavors to choose from. I already tried cinnamon from another brand of mouthwash so this time and very timely for summer is the mangosteen mint flavor. Mangosteen is a tropical fruit native to us and I've been hearing a lot of positive effects of this fruit to our health. Hmm, looks like using this mouthwash will give me another kind of experience specially on my next travel adventure this summer! I already tried this flavor before bringing it to my next backpack adventure, if you wanna know my thoughts click CONTINUE READING to see my review of this flavor and why I highly recommend this product :)

Product Review: Athena Milk Flavor Powdered Milk

Tuesday, January 21, 2014

When was the last time you treat yourself for a full glass of milk? I'm sure you'll answer when you were in elementary or high school. I'm not sure if my relatives and friends still drink milk before going to bed or whenever they want to. The only thing that I'm sure and will be forever sure would be my addiction to coffee. I'm a self-confessed coffee addict and for the record, I can drink three cups twice a week and twice every day. I know, I know drinking coffee has positive and negative effects in our body. Caffeine makes me alert but I can't take the palpitations and when that kicks, I'll be up the whole night.

I'm so happy when I won the giveaway of Ms. Divine Caraecle- 1,500 php worth of Unilab products! So when I was browsing Unilab's site, the first thing that came to my mind was beauty and skincare products. But when I saw Athena on the list, I never think twice if I'll add this to my prize list. What I have in mind that time was the word BEAUTRITION. I forgot about coffee that time and this milk keep on swirling in my mind. To make a long story short, when the prizes arrived on our door steps, I immediately opened a box of Athena Milk Flavor Powdered Milk and the moment I tasted it, my heart told me that I should make a switch. Product Review: Myra E 400 IU Capsule d-Alpha Tocopherol (Vitamin E)

Thursday, December 12, 2013

Hi dearies! My apologies for another MIA, I know I've got a lot of things missed these past few weeks and backlogs start to pile up again. I want to go back to regular programming but I'm not sure if I'll be able to post regularly these coming weeks. Please bear with me and I hope you'll still continue reading my posts :)

So to start, here's a review of another health supplement that I'm sure everyone knows. Myra E capsule is one of the most well-known brand of Vitamin E in the market today. I've known this brand since I was in high school. I can still remember my mom used to take this vitamin every night and she said that it's a skin vitamin. I have a simple question to ask: do you consider taking vitamin supplements for the skin even if you're taking care of your skin from the outside? If your answer is yes, then you should consider taking Myra-E. I was taking this vitamin on and off ten years ago to be exact. I'm not clearly sure of the effects of this vitamin on my skin before because I don't document it at all. I just noticed the blooming effect when I religiously took this every night a month ago. If you can still remember my post, this bottle of Myra E was included in the Unilab loot bag that I won from a giveaway. I was very excited when the package arrived and rekindled my love with vitamin E. My ob-gyne also advised me to take this vitamin  together with folic acid to ensure higher percentage of healthy pregnancy. So without a doubt, I took Myra E every night and saw a big difference on my skin. It's also a anti-oxidant for the body that will repair damage cells. So here's my honest to goodness review of Myra E 400 IU capsule, click CONTINUE READING if it's a nay or a yay!

Myra E 400 IU Capsule d-Alpha Tocopherol (Vitamin E)
d-alpha-tocopherol (Myra E 400) is an oblong-shaped, orange-colored softgel capsule with “Myra E 400”.

I visited UNILAB's website HERE and got these important FAQ's for those of you who still unaware what vitamin E does in our body or specifically in our skin.
FAQs
1. Who can take Myra E 400? Can men also take it?
Myra E 400 can be taken by both men and women 19 years and older.
2. When is the right time to take Myra 400 E?
Myra E 400 may be taken at any time of the day, preferably with meals.
3. What is the effect of Myra E 400? In how many days will I see any results or changes?
Myra E 400 contains Vitamin E, an antioxidant, which protects our cells from damage by harmful chemicals called free radicals. Thus, it is difficult to say when one will see any changes because most of the effect will be “inside”.
4. Is it true that Vitamin E (such as Myra E 400) can cause tuberculosis when used by smokers?
Vitamin E such as Myra E 400 does not cause tuberculosis. Tuberculosis is a disease caused by the bacteria, Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Based on clinical studies, smoking may increase the risk of tuberculosis. We recommend that you consult your physician on proper advice on nutritional supplementation and healthy lifestyle.
5. Is Vitamin E safe after long term use? Does it accumulate in the liver?
Based on clinical studies, long term use of recommended doses of Vitamin E supplements by healthy individuals is generally safe. Vitamin E does not accumulate in the liver.
6. Can Myra E 400 be taken twice a day?
No. The recommended daily dose of Myra E 400 is 1 soft gel capsule a day.*
7. Can Vitamin E be taken with other vitamins at the same time?
Yes. However, you should make sure that the other products you are taking do not contain vitamin E to avoid excessive intake (greater than 400 IU per day) of the vitamin.*
8. Is Myra E 400 safe for pregnant or breastfeeding women?
The amount of Vitamin E found in the normal diet (usually found in nuts, oil seeds, legumes, grains, and vegetable oils) and in pre- and postnatal multivitamins (which are specifically formulated for pregnant and breastfeeding women) is generally safe. Myra E 400 is not intended for pregnant and breastfeeding women as it has a relatively higher amount of Vitamin E than what is recommended during pregnancy and lactation.*
9. Can Myra E 400 be taken with birth control pills?
Clinical Studies have shown that women taking oral contraceptives have lower levels of vitamin E in the body. Therefore, Vitamin E supplementation may be beneficial for contraceptive users.*
10. Do you need to take Vitamin C in order for Vitamin E to be absorbed by the body?
No. Vitamin E can be absorbed by the body when taken alone. Vitamin C is not required for vitamin E absorption.
11. Can Myra E 400 softgel capsule and Conzace softgel capsule be taken at the same time?
Myra E 400 and Conzace should not be taken at the same time since these products both contain Vitamin E.*
12. I’m 18 years old. Can I already take Myra E 400?
Yes, you may already take Myra E.*
13. When is the best time to take Myra E 400? Is it safe to be taken on an empty stomach? Is it safe to be taken everyday?
Myra E 400 may be taken at any time of the day, preferably with meals since it contains vitamin E, a fat-soluble vitamin which is absorbed together with lipids/fat in the diet. The recommended dose for Myra E 400 is one softgel capsule once daily. To date, there have been no reported side effects with Myra E 400 when it is taken as recommended (i.e., one softgel capsule a day).*
14. What is the generic name of Myra E 400?
The generic name of the vitamin E variant found in Myra E 400 softgel capsule is d-alpha tocopherol.
15. What does Myra E 400 contain? Can it aggravate acne?
Myra E 400 contains Vitamin E. Vitamin E is an antioxidant that protects our cells from harmful free radicals. It can help maintain healthy skin as it promotes cell and tissue renewal. It has not been shown to aggravate acne. *
16. What are the side effects associated with the long term use of Myra E 400 softgel capsule?
Myra E 400 softgel capsule has not been reported to cause undesirable effects when taken in the recommended dose (i.e., one softgel capsule once a day).*

What I like:
  • The price- affordable.

  • It made my pale skin brighter and glowing.

Recommendation:
I give this a 4.75/5 recommendation. I can say that from all the vitamins that I've tried before, vitamin E goes well with my system. I didn't experienced breakouts or whatsoever. It also made my dull skin glowing. Aside from the skin benefits that we can get from taking Myra- E, my ob advised me to take this together with folic acid to produce healthy cells in preparation for my next pregnancy. Myra-E is affordable too and easily accessible. So start taking care of your skin from within!

Do you take skin care supplements? Thank you for sharing your experience!
