While I was watching my son playing his favorite minecraft game on his tablet, my mind suddenly went on a throwback mode. I was reminiscing the past, the simple things that make us happy and busy. I love watching television shows and soap operas before I became busy with blogging. Since watching television series requires me to watch it daily so that I will not miss an episode, life became a school-tv-homework-tv-sleep routine. So when mobile phones with built in television was invented, I got so excited that I bought one.

But mobile phones with built in television require a good signal to get a clear viewing. I thought I'll be happy because of this advancement in mobile phone technology. The signal of the first generation of mobile phones with build in television was weak. I'm disappointed with the unit that I owned before. To cut a long story short, I ended up giving the said mobile phone to my cousin. Just recently, Starmobile offers a handy solution to my problem and other problems that tv fanatics have like free and cable quality TV on the go. The launching of Starmobile's first ever line of digital TV phonesThese mobile hybrids allow you to watch cable-quality Digital TV (DTV) Channels for FREE anytime and anywhere DTV services are available. There are three models to choose from:  the big-screen KNIGHT Vision, the slender UP Vision, and the big battery UP Max.

The technology and versatility of DTV phones mark a new era in Philippine mobile functionality. Starmobile has always put the wants and needs of Pinoy mobile users first. Because of those amazing features I mentioned above plus the affordable price tag, I presume that DTV devices of Starmobile will set to affect the industry and influence the future of mobile.

Aside from gaming, watching our favorite tv shows will be an anytime-anywhere situation. DTV Phones is a new take on Pinoy TV viewing and here are the reasons why it would really fit well with our on-the-go lifestyle:

  • Crisper, high-quality video means more emphasis on great artistry.
  • Mobile viewing makes TV a solo affair. No more remote control fight-period.
  • Digital recording spreads viewing times out. Primetime may not be prime any longer as real-time recording functions on on Starmobile digital TV phones means watching can be done in the evening or on another day. No-no to a missed episode :)
  • Anytime, anywhere means quality TV programming can and should be 24/7. Hooray for more TV shows!

Even if you’re not a TV addict, you’ll still get a lot of use out of your digital TV phone. Gamers will love the responsiveness of the system as well as the HD screen, something people who download a lot of videos will get a kick out of, too, apart from the huge memory available for use. Instagrammers and photo-foodies will appreciate the great cameras these come equipped with, as will folks who like to capture moments in time via video (like parents and travel junkies).
