Product Review: Natura Organics Lokal Matte Lipstick/ Supra Matte Liquid Lipstick

Friday, May 17, 2019

As promised, here's a short review of Natura Organics Lipsticks in Lokal Matte and Supra Matte Liquid variants. They sent six shades housed in a classy bullet made of sturdy acrylic glass. The gold logo of the brand is beautifully stamped in the tube. Since the tube is transparent, I can easily see through it the pretty shades of red, pink and nude. These lipsticks are certified organic, cruelty-free, vegan, and made of natural ingredients.

Natura Organics launches a newly formulated, highly pigmented lipstick collection called Lokal Matte, which is creamy matte texture, smells and tastes deliciously (banana, strawberry, and melon), blended with natural and organic oils and butter to keep lips moisturized and hydrated. The colors are also fantastic, ranging from a variety of nudes to the darkest plum. On the other hand, the liquid version of this is called Supra Matte Liquid. See the photos and swatches of both variants below :)

One of the reasons why I started this blog is because of my love for organic skincare and one of the first organic brands that saved my skin from nasty breakouts was Natura Organics.  I was a problematic first-time mommy some 9 years ago because of my adult acne. After giving birth to my son Kenzo, pimples were popping all over my face and skin problems became a major concern.

I experienced mild adult-onset acne two months after giving birth and my HG (holy grail) skincare products back then worsen my skin condition. I discovered organic skincare from international beauty bloggers sharing reviews on facial cleansers and toners. I was really intrigued that's why I did some research and to my surprise, there are a handful of local brands selling organic skin care products and one of them is Natural Organics. Surprise, surprise! From skin care, they are now into makeup that is certified vegan, 100% natural, and cruelty-free. More about Natura Organics Makeup Line after the jump.

Product Review: Natura Organics Cosmetic Tools Shampoo

Friday, December 30, 2016

Sharing with you a quick review of Natura Organics Cosmetic Tools Shampoo that I've been using for months now to clean my makeup brushes. I only use three brushes to date that's why cleaning is easy as long as I have a buddy that will make the bristles squeaky clean in just 1-2-3!

I wash my brushes using Natura Organics Cosmetic Tools Shampoo weekly. This product was sent to me last year and I'm so happy that the shampoo/cleanser is just halfway through the bottle. I also love the fact that this product is made by my Natura Organics- my trusted brand when it comes to natural, vegan, and organic beauty products. More details on this promising brush cleanser below :)

Product Review: Purest by Natura Organics ReVOLUMIZING Shampoo

Thursday, August 06, 2015

It's not easy to find a hair care product that will make your crown and glory healthy and shiny. It's always a trial and error kind of game. Before you can say that it's effective, there will be different factors you need to consider- the scent, the texture, the ingredients, the price, and the overall experience you get while using the product. If you're a long time reader of this blog, the only natural or organic product that I'm still searching is an organic shampoo that will be a mainstay in my hair care essentials. I've found one in the past but I'm still contemplating if I'll continue to use it or not because the price is a bit steep for a cheapskate like me.

Months ago, I received an organic and all-natural shampoo from my favorite organic brand- Natura Organics and their hair care line is called Purest. I wasn't able to test the product immediately because I was still using a so called natural shampoo but I doubt if it's natural (because of the ingredients) that I bought from a famous personal store. Anyhoo, after using this shampoo for more than twenty days now I'm ready to say my thoughts. Scroll down to see more information about the product :)

Product Review: Purest by Natura Organics ReVOLUMIZING Shampoo
the texture of this shampoo is semi-thick but runny
What I like:

  • The price is more affordable than the competition organic brands in the market today.
  • The packaging is sleek and sturdy. It has a pump that dispenses the right amount of product.
  • The bottle packaging is transparent. I can see how many amount of product left in the container.
  • Well-sealed upon purchase. You can see product certifications printed on the bottle.
  • The scent is divine! Loving the sweet scent of this shampoo.
  • The texture is semi-thick and runny.
  • It is easy to apply and produces a good lather.
  • There's a cooling sensation on my hair and scalp every time I use this product.
  • My hair feels squeaky clean after using this shampoo.
  • I noticed less hair fall after combing my hair.
  • I have thin and limp hair and this shampoo gives it volume.
  • My hair became shiny and looks healthy even if it's already showing signs of abuse from hair dyes.
  • Makes my hair less frizzy and dry.
  • No breakouts, zits, allergies, or whatsoever on my forehead where I sometimes experience when using new variant of shampoo.
  • Since this is all-natural, it's safe for pregnant ladies.

What I don't like:

  • No expiry date printed on the bottle.
  • I need more than 8 pumps for my long hair to produce a good lather.
  • Not easily accessible.
  • I need to pair it with a conditioner because it makes my hair stiff but after using Purest conditioner, it's all manageable. I think this is because I'm more of a conditioner than a shampoo user.

Will I repurchase: Yes, it's in the realm of possibility :)

Recommendation:
I give this a 4.5/5 rating. This shampoo really contains natural oils and made from natural products. You can see the transparency list. It is made from natures finest ingredients that will make your tresses healthy and vibrant. As for my experience, be sure to pump an ample amount of product if you want to have a good lather. If you're like me who needs more conditioning properties because my hair is color-treated, a heavy duty conditioner will be your best friend if you find your hair stiff after shampooing. Purest by Natura Organics also has a conditioner that smells divine! I will muse my experience in a separate review.

Have you tried using an organic and all-natural shampoo before? Share your experience dearies!

Good Times!~

Product Review: Natura Organics Emergency Ex-Zit Gel

Wednesday, June 10, 2015

Hello dearies! I will not make a very long introduction to this wonderful product that was sent to me by Natura Organics months ago to try and see if this will make nasty pimple exit or go away. The name of this pimple gel says it all. It's a remedy for this kind of emergency where a pimple or zit is going to pop up a day or two before your big day. It's so frustrating that an angry, reddish, and humongous pimple is threatening to ruin your first date, your photo shoot, or presentation because it wants to show up in your face.

This is my third pimple spot treatment to date. I don't have flawless skin, I have freckles and I often get a zit or two before, during, and after my monthly period. When I was in college I have this bad habit of pricking those nasty zits on my cheeks and chin where they always pop out if the size is still the same after a week. Thank goodness that pimple gels and pimple spot corrector were invented, no more popping just apply a dot and see the magic work if the brand you have in hand is effective but if not, nothing will happen overnight or after three days. Scroll down to see my experience about Natura Organics Emergency Ex-Zit Gel :)
Product Review: Natura Organics Emergency Ex-Zit Gel
When it comes to over-the-counter acne products, you end up with a lot of the same ingredients, over and over: benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, witch hazel, charcoal, and (sometimes) retinoids. Yawn. The problem is, acne is caused by a bacterium, P. acnes. Like all bacteria, P. acnes exhibits bacterial resistance. Over time, “only the strongest survive.” Your acne treatment may kill 95% of the bacterial colonies, but a small percentage will mutate and survive. These resilient bacteria will reproduce — which is why effective agents in EMERGENCY EX-ZIT GEL is formulated.

Below is a proof that Natura Organics Emergency Ex-Zit Gel is an effective pimple spot treatment. I apply this gel thrice or four times a day and after two days, the pimple has subsided then totally healed after four days. All healed. The only problem I have is dark spot cause by the zit.
Product Review: Natura Organics Emergency Ex-Zit Gel
Before and after photo

What I like:

  • The price is  super affordable for a 20 g of product!
  • This pimple gel can pass as unscented.
  • There's a plastic lid on top of cover. I accidentally drop this tub and the lid prevented the gel from transferring to the cover.
  • It's gel-type in nature but a bit runny.
  • A little amount goes a long way.
  • There's a minty and cooling sensation once the product is applied on my angry, reddish, and painful zit.
  • Doesn't burn or peel the site where I applied it.
  • This gel reduced the size of my pimple overnight.
  • After 2 days, the pimple has dried up.

What I don't like:

  • The packaging is flimsy.
  • The product is in a container without spatula. It would be great if this product is packaged in a plastic tube with nozzle tip for ease of use since all I need is a spot- dot size amount in treating pimples. I will just use my fingers or cotton buds to spread the product on my pimple/s.
  • No ingredients list printed on the package.
  • No batch, manufacturing, and expiry date.
  • Not easily accessible.

Will I repurchase? Yes! But not for now since I still have a tub to finish but this one is back-up worthy!

Recommendations:
I give this a 4.5/5 rating. If you're eager to really make your pimple/s gone in less than two days, make sure to use it more than twice a day. Religious application will make heal pimple/s faster. Since I'm always at home I make sure to apply a thin layer three or four times a day. I'm totally surprised when I woke up the next day because swelling, redness, and size of my pimples had been reduced then after two days it's gone already. If there's a sign that a new pimple is coming out, I immediately apply this gel and voila! I can bid my pimples goodbye :D

Do you use spot corrector treatment for your pimple/s?

Good Times!~

Product Review: Natura Organics Miracle Fluid

Monday, April 27, 2015

Hello dearies! Here's a review of Natura Organics Fluid Miracle that made my contact dermatitis subside after five days of use. I'm planning to use this product as a face moisturizer but the need to treat the non-stop itchiness of my upper back arise so I tested this miracle in a bottle on that part. This product is very promising because it can be used from head to toe! By the way, the irritation/allergic reaction that I have on my upper back came from a cloth tag. I know you can relate when I say cloth tags can irk you and the only thing you have in mind is to cut them right? Or else, suffer the consequence like skin irritation. Since I've been scratching my back from time to time, I've developed small wound like scratches five days ago but with this product, it's almost gone :)

If you're intrigued with this miracle fluid well in AYURVEDA, this unique blend of oils and herbs is formulated to help skin look young and healthy. It helps illuminate skin color, smooth fine lines, cool and cleanse while helping clear blemishes. Liquorice, an antiseptic, protects against bacterial and fungal infections. It also helps improve skin texture. To know more information about Natura Organics Miracle Fluid, click CONTINUE READING now!

Product Review: Natura Organics Revitalizing Hair and Scalp Mist SPF8

Monday, September 29, 2014

Happy Monday dearies! Say goodbye to bad hair days the natural way! The state of my hair as of the moment is a bit high maintenance because I've gone to two hair treatments in just a month and I feel guilty of the abuse. My hair was colored twice already and I need to be vigilant of protecting it against damage. Two of the consequences that I'll be facing now would be dryness and frizz. Since I have a thin and limp hair, it tends to get dry easily once chemicals are applied.

Good thing I have a savior and that's the little bottle on the photo below. This hair mist was sent to me by Natura Organics months ago and I wasn't able to use it immediately because I was road testing another product that time from another brand and sadly it failed my expectations. I consider this product a miracle because it delivers! I've been using the product for two weeks now and it gave positive results. Product Review: Natura Organics Cellular Radiance Triple Lightening Deo Roll-On Serum

Wednesday, August 20, 2014

Aside from my face, the next sensitive part of my body are my pits! Yes, my underarms are sensitive because it's very prone to chicken skin after waxing, darkening because of hormonal change before my monthly period and from trying different brands of deodorant and antiperspirant out of curiosity.

After giving birth, my underarms got so dark because of pregnancy hormones and I know it's normal. My mom said it will return to the original color after a few months, all I have to do is wait. But the stubborn me got insecure whenever I raise my hand so I decided to buy a bleaching cream from unknown brand and applied it for two days. Worst thing happened, my underarm experienced itching and peeling and the color was still the same. After this incident, I just waited for the original color to come back and yes it did!

Fast forward, three years ago I discovered my HG antiperspirant and deodorant, it's from a well known brand that's popular to be hypo-allergenic and great for sensitive skin. But because I'm embracing natural and organic skin care now, I think now is the time to try an all natural whitening, antiperspirant and deodorant that promises promising benefits. So here it is, my honest to goodness review of Natura Organics Cellular Radiance Triple Lightening Deo Roll-On Serum. Click CONTINUE READING find out!

Product Review: Natura Organics Himalayan Mud 21-in-1 Soap

Monday, July 21, 2014

If my memory serves me right, three years ago I had a hatred feeling against a certain black soap. It's not the black bleaching bar that I've tried from one of the famous brand of organic skin care products in our country today. Yes, it's a face and body soap that left a terrible effect on my face. The thing that irks me most is that it's organic. I have high expectations on that soap because before I get hold of it, I've seen positive reviews on their website and some beauty blogs. I really never expected that the "good" would turn so bad as in so so bad in my case.

So to end a long story short, after that experience I veered away from that brand. If you're adventurous with soaps I'm sure you can guess what kind of soap I'm saying here. I will not mention the brand, past is past and I've buried that sad experience. But today, I want to share a good news  :) I never thought that my fear of using a black-colored soap with ingredients that I'm not familiar with will turn into a delight. I think I want to rejoice because I've tried a black soap that didn't burn my face (this was the terrible effect that I have mentioned above) and made my skin healthy looking. Excited to find out why I'm raving a black soap today? Click CONTINUE READING to see my thoughts on Natura Organics Himalayan Mud 21-in-1 Soap :)
