Product Review: Mischka Just Kissed Lip & Cheek Stain

     Before I learned how to use blush powders and creams on my cheeks, lip & cheek tints are my best friend. I was in college back then when a Thai brand of makeup sells cheap but effective products and one of them was my favorite cheek tint. I will not name it and I presume that if you're a cheek tint gal, you have tried it too.

     Anyhoo, late last year I decided to rekindle my love for lip & cheek tints when I saw photos of Korean stars on my Facebook feed. Most of them are sporting the no makeup look with only flushed cheeks, bitten lips, and natural looking brows. I want to try that look and good thing Mischka Derma Secrets now rebranded to Mischka Nature Essentials sent me two shades of their Just Kissed Lip & Cheek Stain. Product Review: Mischka Derma Secret Sea Salt Detox Glow

     Hello dearies! Let's go back to my product review series. I've emptied almost four skin care products that I'm road testing so this week and next week will be posts on skin care reviews. First up, this body scrub from Mischka Derma Secret that I received last month. I'm into body scrubs right now, I like the squeaky clean feeling after using body scrubs. Since the heat is getting insane, I feel like I've accumulated all the dirt and pollution in my skin from commuting whenever I run for errands or go to events.

     Aside from the removing 'dead skin' while scrubbing, this skin care ritual is one of my 'me time'. Among the body scrubs that I've tried before, the waiting time for this scrub is longer than usual. It takes 30-45 minutes for this scrub to work wonders on my skin with twice or thrice a week use. Product Review: Mischka Derma Secret Micro Peel Soap

     Hello dearies! Sharing with you another review of skin care product from Mishka Derma Secret. For those of you who want to remove minor skin discoloration and surface residue, this soap from the brand might work for you. It's my first micro peeling soap review and three weeks ago I started using it everyday. Because this is a micro peel soap, I'm expecting it to be harsh on the skin and will require me to stay at home since the skin will be very sensitive when exposed to sun rays.

     To be honest, I'm having second thoughts if I'll use the soap or not because based on what I've seen with my cousin who had a body peeling sessions, the skin will literally fall off, shed in big or small pieces. Since I trust Mischka Derma Secret, I gave it a shot. I said to myself that it's just a MICRO PEEL SOAP so I should expect a minimal and not so visible peeling. Product Review: Mischka Derma Secret Hydrating Whitening Body Lotion

     There are two things that will always be a mainstay in my bath essentials: 2 bars of soap and a bottle of lotion. That's how I cleanse my body everyday, no matter how cold the weather is. I seldom use warm water or take hot baths during cold season. I can take a bath in the evening and it's my own version of the ice bucket challenge. Kidding aside, hope you'll not get mad but that's how I can describe cold tap water these past few days. The colder the water, the drier my skin after taking a bath.

     Because I'm road testing whitening soaps that may attribute to the dryness of my skin, I need to resort to moisturizing lotions or hydrating body lotions to lessen the dryness. Most of the lotions that I have on my stash are whitening lotions. Good thing Mischka Derma Secret sent me one of their lotion variants, the hydrating and whitening body lotion. I'm expecting this lotion to help me combat dryness and the word 'hydrating' sounds like I can get a moisturized skin while lightening it at the same time! I've been using this lotion for 3 weeks now, I can say that I'm quite satisfied with the performance. Product Review: Mischka Derma Secret Coffee Exfoliating Body Scrub

    Last December, I received a bunch of skin care products from Mischka Derma Secret. The loot includes soaps, body lotion, body scrub and a lip plumping serum. I'm so giddy to try them all but my eyes were glued on their coffee exfoliating body scrub. I've gained weight these past few months and some are water weight because of water retention from eating salty foods. I'm not sure if using coffee scrub will make those excess water disappear but from what I've read, coffee scrubs can help in improving the appearance of cellulites and loosen up excess fluid so the appearance of the skin will look more toned and smooth.

     Hi dearies! I think everyone is soo excited for Christmas and busy with parties and gatherings. I just want to squeeze in this review that's been sitting my blog dashboard for weeks now. Mischka Derma Secret sent me 3 bars of their milky white soap. If my memory serves me right, this is my first time reviewing a whitening soap that is goat's milk and glutathione combined. Before I forgot, goat's milk is also considered one of the effective whitening soap variant for sensitive skin.

     I presume you already know that some celebrities immerse themselves in a tub of milk. I can still recall that in one of the pages from my history book says that one of Cleopatra's beauty secret was milk bath. It's so luxurious, right? Product Review: Mischka Derma Secret Calamansi with Honey Soap

     Hi all! I still have pending soap reviews and I want to make sure that I give my 100% percent experience before saying my thoughts. Mischka Derma Secret sent me their Calamansi with Honey Soap not for a review but for me to just try. The owner of Mischka Derma Secret is so generous and kind that she wanted me to try their products and just share a feedback if I like it or not. Since I like most of their soaps, I think that it deserves a space on my blog :)

     One of my favorite soap from the brand is their Calamansi with honey soap. It's another whitening soap that contains only few ingredients but I'm not after the whitening effect of the soap because I'm more on the glow and moisturizing part now because my skin tends to get dry on colder months. Product Review: Mischka Derma Secret Kojic with Placenta Soap

     Being a soap junkie, I'm always on the lookout for new variants of soap available in the market today be it commercially produced or handmade ones. As of the moment, I still have four different kinds of soap for review. I'm very excited to use them all because it contains mostly natural ingredients that promises to make the skin smooth, young and glowing. 

     If you're a fan of whitening soaps, I'm sure you already know kojic acid. It is one of the most famous/effective whitening ingredient in the market today together with glutathione, alpha arbutin and placenta. I've made several reviews of whitening soaps with kojic acid before and I find this variant effective depending on the length of usage. Kojic acid soap can be drying that's why some brands combine it with other moisturizing ingredients that will combat dryness. One combination that I can say will give less dryness to the skin is kojic placenta. Placenta is known to be an anti-aging ingredient and makes the skin smooth and glowing. Product Review: Mischka Derma Secret Green Tea Mask

     Even though I'm a skin care junkie, I think I still lack something in my skin care regimen. I do the wash-tone-moisturize-rejuvenate ritual everyday and the facial scrub thrice a week but I skip another important step that will make the skin relaxed and purified. I'm so lazy to apply face mask nowadays. I don't know why but I find this step messy especially if the facial mask that i'll use will require preparing the mask and the "stay in place" position so that the mask will not drip and adhere to the contours of your face.

     I think I still haven't found the perfect facial mask for my weekly pampering at home.       Let's continue the series of product reviews from Mischka Derma Secret and last but not the least is their advance whitening body lotion. If you're a long time reader of this blog I'm sure you know that I'm a sucker for whitening lotions! I'm already fair to begin with but I have uneven skin tone that's why I still need this kind of lotion. I've tried so many brands in the market today and only a few got a perfect score because of important factors that I consider for it to be a HG material. I believe that whitening lotions should not only whiten the skin but protect it from the harmful rays of the sun so a decent amount of sunscreen should be present from its ingredients. Anti-aging factor? Why not?! Whitening plus anti-aging lotions would be one of the best combination not only for lotions but for soaps and other skin care products. If you're like me who loves to try different kinds of whitening lotions I'm sure you already know powerful whitening ingredients that will help you achieve whiter and glowing skin. The most popular ingredients are glutathione, arbutin, kojic, licorice and placenta. I'm pretty sure that most of the coveted whitening products today contains two or more of the ingredients that I've mentioned above. So if you really want to whiten and lighten your skin, make sure you do your research because not all the whitening ingredients will give you positive results.

      Anyhoo, I've been using this lotion on and off. If you ask me why, because it doesn't have spf and I'm too lazy to take evening bath this past two months because of the cold weather at night. This lotion is best applied before going to bed since it's not suitable for day time use. To tell you honestly, I have a love-hate relationship with this product. I love it because it's easily absorbed by the skin, the scent is okay and it helps me maintain my skin tone even if I'm exposed to harmful sun rays during day time but I hate it because it doesn't have spf and the price tag seems too high for budget conscious individual like me. Product Review: Mischka Derma Secret Advance Gluta Blends Soap

     Hello dearies! Here's another product review from Mischka Derma Secret that was sent to me by the owner Ms. Michelle Rivera last month. The moment I saw this soap from the beauty loot, I was ecstatic because cute logos and heart designs are my weakness. I easily give in to beautiful product labels, packaging and the like. But more than that, I always check the ingredients of a product and when I see something different I get intrigued and for sure I'll be using it religiously without a doubt. I presume that you all know I'm a sucker for organic soaps/organic whitening soap because I have uneven skin tone. I'm already fair to begin with that's why you may ask why I need this variant of soap. Well, to tell you honestly I sometimes hate my skin tone. I easily get sunburned when exposed to sun. Since I wear flip flops everyday and fetching my son from school is one of my proof that my skin is very sensitive to sunlight. We go to my son's school around 10:00 a.m. then we'll walk from our street to the guard house to wait for our ride. It's a pain, I tell you! I can really feel the heat of the sun on the surface of my skin. 

     Okay go back to the review, this soap is a combination of four beautifying and lightening ingredients. There's milk gluathione, arbutin, rosehips and collagen. Even though the major whitening ingredients are milk glutathione and arbutin, the other two also helps in maintaining the skin suppleness and youthful glow. Pro-longed sun exposure can result to aging, wrinkles and skin cancer and that's where the rosehips and collagen do their part. I've been using this soap for more than three weeks now. I can say it helped me maintain my skin tone even if I'm always exposed to sunlight. But I don't attribute it to the soap alone, I also use sunblock and lotion for extra protection.      Let's start the week right with another review :) Summer is fast approaching and this season is one of the worst for me when it comes to taking care of my skin. I have a hate relationship with summer. My skin starts to react badly when the temperature rises. Breakouts here and there and my body starts to sweat a lot! I hate the icky feeling when I sweat a lot. That's why I always make sure to add a product or two to my skin care essentials for that extra squeaky clean feel.
