     I was in high school, I often hear my mom talking to my titas who live abroad about makeup brands that are not available locally. Two of my aunts work at Macy's that's why if there's a new shade of lipstick from my mom's favorite brand, she will just tell it to them but it will take a year before the balikbayan boxes will arrive at our doorsteps.

What I like:

• The price is affordable.
• There's no funky or weird scent.
• Each lipstick is housed in a classy black tube.
• It's easy to apply. Glides smoothly on my lips.
• The texture is creamy. For the velvet pinks, I can say it has a buttery texture. 
• For matte reds- both gives a full coverage after one swipe. I can say that color pay-off is opaque upon application.
• For velvet pinks- gives a sheer color at first but buildable on the following swipe.
• The velvet pink shades are wearable, perfect for everyday lip color.
• There are 7 shades for the velvet pinks while 8 shades for the reds to choose from.
• It's easily accessible. Available in all L'Oreal Paris counters nationwide.
• The staying power is great. It leaves a beautiful stain even if I eat greasy and oily food.
• It's not drying on my lips but I still apply my favorite lip balm prior to application.

What I don't like:

• The shade indicator doesn't match the color of the lipstick inside the tube but it's no biggie for me.

Will I repurchase? Yes! I also want to try other shades that's perfect for colder months. 

Recommendation:

    I give this a 5/5 rating. Perfect because the pinks are perfect for everyday makeup and there's a perfect pink shade for every skin tone. The matte reds are also a good investment for those who like to wear different shades of red- from warm to cool tones. There are 8 shades to choose from so I guess you will find the red color that your lipstick loving heart desires.

Product Review: L'Oreal Color Riche La Palette Nude Photos and Swatches

     Hello dearies! I'm so excited to share with you my second eye shadow palette review to date. If you're a long time reader of this blog prolly you know that applying eye shadow/s is one of my weaknesses when it comes to makeup application. I only apply color on my lids if I really need to show a pop of color especially when attending events like weddings and debuts. Why until now I can't get the hang of it? I don't know how to blend properly. I only rely on diagrams when  I apply eye shadows, applying one or two colors to be exact.

     During the launch of L'Oreal Color Riche La Palette Nude eye shadows, I told myself that this is the right time to practice the art of eye shadow application because the eye shadow palettes are simply beautiful and wearable, perfect for beginners and for those who always go for that 'no makeup' makeup look. What I like:

• The packaging- it's in classy black and sleek case with full mirror.
• The price- I find it very affordable because there are 10 shades in one palette. 
• I can say that it's pretty pigmented even without primer.
• It's easy to apply.
• Blends smoothly on my eyelids.
• The shades are perfect for every day makeup. 
• The shades will suit Asian skin tone since its mostly composed of warm shades. I also like that it's a combination of two textures- matte and shimmery. 

What I don't like:

• No shade names.
• I find the brush so-so. 

Will I repurchase? Yes for my friends and relatives since I still have two palettes to use.

Recommendation:
     I give this a 5/5 rating. It's a good palette with 10 pigmented shades that I can sport everyday. The packaging is so nice and sturdy. Accidentally dropped it twice and the shadows are still intact. Hooray for full-sized mirror too!

     For less than, 1,000 php a sleek 10 shades eye shadow palette with pretty shades for smoky, nude and no makeup look, L'Oreal Color Riche La Palette in Rosé and Beige are beginners and budget conscious makeup aficionados best friend.

Product Review: Kerastase Cristalliste Bain Cristal Luminous Perfecting Shampoo

     I pay more attention when it comes to hair care now than before. My hair was very low maintenance before because all it takes to complete my hair care routine every day includes shampoo and conditioner. I don't apply serums and I don't blow dry my hair. I just let it dry naturally and after combing I'm good to go. But as time pass by consider the age factor and numerous chemical treatments that I've gone through, my hair strands became weak and brittle. I have thin limp hair to begin with and it's easily prone to dullness and breakage. The worst thing that happened to my locks was major major hair fall. To address these issues, I change shampoo and conditioner every month- some lessened the hair fall while others make it worst. I already found my HG shampoo with Pure Beauty Tsubaki Treatment Shampoo and Botanique Spa Morocco Argan Oil Shampoo but there are times that my hair still needs extra care and shine. With so many brands of commercial and organic shampoos in the market today, it's very hard to choose which one to try first as most of them promises good results. What my hair needs now is shine! My digi-permed hair will turn three months old this coming November that's why the curls are not that shiny anymore. Thank goodness that Kerastase is here to rescue. 

     To tell you honestly, I'm not planning to use this shampoo because I was very much contended with the current shampoo that I'm using. I was planning to repurchase another bottle of Botanique Spa shampoo earlier this month but I decided to give this variant a try. If you'll ask me why I veered away from this varaint without trying it first, then the answer would probably my first experience with another variant of Kerastase shampoo- the Reflection Bain Chroma Riche. I had a not so good experience with the first variant of shampoo that I've tried from Kerastase but with this one, that impression vanished!      And now to the most exciting part, the revolutionary hair treatment experience. But before the treatment, Hermes of Studio Fix consulted my hair and advice me to have the Keratin Steam Care treatment which gives an anti-frizz smoothing effect that can last up to 3 days. He also said that my hair is already straight and it only needs the right kind of treatment. Since my hair is colored, it's prone to dryness which results to frizzy hair. Thank you Hermes for making me realized that I have straight hair and doesn't need to sacrifice it's health with regular rebonding treatment. All I need is to maintain it's texture and shine with the help of Pro-Keratin products like the X-Tenso Care shampoo and masque. Here's my hair before the treatment: dull and lifeless, lacks shine and the color isn't vibrant :(
