Stay Safe, Say No To Fake!

Thursday, August 06, 2020

This pandemic has caused so much stress that many of us are experiencing fear and anxiety. Many people lost their jobs, closed down their businesses, got depressed, and a whole lot more. We are still in a tough battle with the unseen enemy. Aside from everyday struggles and battles, different stressful news related to the virus have been circulating in my Facebook newsfeed recently.

While we are trying our best to protect ourselves and our families against the virus by following government protocols like social distancing, handwashing, and wearing a face mask, I've read a news about fake 'Made in Taiwan' Face Masks that's made in China and now are being sold in Philippine shores. It's alarming because the proper wearing of face mask is one of the defense against the virus but now that fake China products are here, there, and everywhere, how can we be so sure that we are protecting ourselves and our loved ones? Sharing more things I recently discovered and why we need to be more vigilant in this difficult time.

Stay Safe, Say No To Fake!

Again and again, the world is telling us in all means possible on how to protect ourselves from the virus. Staying at home, washing of hands, boosting immunity, social distancing, and properly wearing a face mask when we are in public places is a must.

But what if you are not sure about the authenticity of your face mask? Sounds, crazy right? Yes, there are fake 'Made in Taiwan' Face Masks that's made in China now so be sure to buy from legitimate sellers. Don't be fooled with AiDeLai goods sold in the market that comes with a certificate saying it’s manufactured by Taibei Rongyi Textile Co. of Taiwan, China. Read more information here: Taiwan News

Be Vigilant, Support Local

I hope this news will call the attention of the authorities to investigate thoroughly, ban fake products, and come up with stringent enforcement of the law when it comes to counterfeit products coming here in our country. I also hope that the government should also be concern about the history of substandard goods from China and other countries. As law-abiding citizens, we must be vigilant always and better be safe than sorry. So instead of patronizing products that we are unsure of authenticity, I think it's okay for us to support Pinoy Aksyon for Governance and Environment's call on our country's initiative to start producing its own health supplies — such as face masks and personal protective equipment, and even a COVID-19 vaccine.

Let's make our battle cry "We Heal As One" worth crying by staying safe, being vigilant, supporting local and saying no to fake in the time of the pandemic.

 Good Times!~
