It’s Time for Filipinas to Take on the World Stage because like the women who inspires us, we can be a #WorldClassFilipina. Oftentimes, Filipinas hold back in the pursuit of their dreams because they tend to set limits to what they can achieve. In these changing times, as the world gets smaller and starts to embrace diversity, the time is now for the Filipina to rise and take on the world stage.
With this in mind, Cream Silk aims to aims to spark and fuel a movement among Filipinas to stand proud, believe, and declare “there is no dream too big for the Filipina because she is world-class.” I witnessed the launch of this advocacy when Cream Silk Philippines invited me to an intimate event of sharing stories and experiences behind the #WorldClassFilipina and the newest ambassador of Philippines No.1 hair care brand. Cream SilkPortraits will feature some of the most beautiful and successfulwomen in the country including princess of all media, Anne Curtis, celebrity and extraordinary artist, Heart Evangelista, multimedia star, Toni Gonzaga, and multi-awarded performer, Lea Salonga.
Heart Evangelista shared how she also have struggled in her career, family and love life but because of her passion and dedication to her craft, she conquered all the obstacles in her way. She bravely married the man she love, pursued her painting career and recently made her own art exhibits here and abroad. From these achievements, I can say she is an epitome of a #WorldClassFilipina indeed!

With the aim of bringing this advocacy to life, the short film tells the stories off our truly World-Class Filipinas. But more than that, the film reminds its audience that even these Filipinas, at the start of their careers, couldn’t imagine themselves being recognized as world-class.
To make the film truly world-class, Cream Silk collaborated with internationally acclaimed director, Marie Jamora. She is known for international award-winning films such as Ang Nawawala.
During the event, she shared her insights on the advocacy of #WorldClassFilipina because she herself have gone through the struggles living abroad independently but because she believes that Filipinas are survivors, she now achieved what she have dreamed to become.

Cream Silk also welcomes to the family another World-Class Filipina who has paved the way for her countrymen to take on the world stage. Lea Salonga joins the #WorldClassFilipina Advocacy
There's nothing Lea couldn't do and she is the best example of being a #WorldClassFilipina. Brains, beauty, personality, voice, acting, what else? It's a total package with Lea Salonga. Best known for her role as Kim in the Broadway musical Miss Saigon, Lea has established herself as a world-class talent as she won multiple awards, including a Tony.

Other accomplishments include:
- Portrayal first as Eponine and later on as Fantine in the 10th and 25th Anniversaries of the classic Les Miserables, accordingly.
- Lea has also been named a Disney Legend for her work as the singing voices of both Princess Jasmine in Aladdin, and the titular character in Mulan.
- Currently set on her USA concert tour, performing at the Town Hall in NYC.

The advocacy will be officially launched with the premiere of the short film, Cream Silk Portraits: Stories of World Class Filipinas on ABS-CBN and GMA7 this April 26, 2015, broadcasting to over millions of homes nationwide.
