Product Review: Botanique Spa Professional Morroco Argan Oil Shampoo

Tuesday, July 30, 2013

The long wait is over! Finally, I'm already using another organic product that I considered as my first organic shampoo. Remember my #NailaholicsGateway Bloggers' Event post? They added a big 350ml bottle of Morrocco Argan Oil shampoo in our loot bags. I never expected that after the wonderful service they gave us during the event, they still included us another bag full of wonderful goodies! I'm one happy kid when I got home :) Anyhoo, I've been using this shampoo for a month now. I'm using it every day! Huwaat? Everyday?! Yes dearies, every day. I'm sure long-time readers of this blog will insist that I'm breaking my hair care routine. I shampoo my hair 2-3 times a week because my tresses are not really exposed to dust and dirt. Since I stay at home most of the time, I do not worry that I'm already neglecting my hair by not shampooing it every time I take a bath. But when I've tried using this Morocco Argan Oil Shampoo for 7 days straight 3 weeks ago, I'm impressed with the results! That's the time when I decided to use this every day.

The only downside of this shampoo is the accessibility. I called Nailaholics Sm Fairview branch to ask for some information about the product. The attendant said that Botanique Spa Morrocco Argan Oil Shampoo is only being sold at selected branches of Nailaholics Nail Salon and Spa. So if you want to get hold of this shampoo, please refer to the link I posted below and check your nearest Nailaholics branch for availability.

What I like:
  • Fairly priced at 600 php considering that hair care products containing Argan Oil is sold at a steep price. Argan Oil is one of the expensive beauty oils that I know.
  • It contains natural preservatives.
  • Paraben, sulfate and mineral oil free.
  • It somehow does fall under my category of organic shampoo because it contains more natural ingredients than chemicals.
  • I like the squeaky clean feel of my hair every after use.
  • I didn't experienced scalp irritations and zits on my forehead that I always happen to me whenever I use a new brand of hair care product.
  • Made my color-treated hair less dry and frizzy.
  • I experienced less hair fall compared to other brands of shampoo in the market.
  • Since I have only have few split-ends to deal with, I'm not sure if this shampoo had helped them became more unnoticeable because I really don't see them now.
  • The texture is thick.
  • Sealed upon purchase.
  • Housed in a classy bottle with pump.
  • Batch, manufacturing and expiry date printed on the bottle.
What I don't like:
  • The scent doesn't last that long.
  • I need 4 pumps to get a good lather on my long hair. I usually use 2-3 pumps on my previous shampoo.
  • It's not readily available in leading department stores and supermarkets.
Will I purchase?Yes! I'm also planning to buy the conditioner.

Recommendation:
I give this a 4.75/5 rating. I think this shampoo will work wonders not only to dry and frizzy hair but to brittle and falling hair as I saw major improvements on the number of hair strands on my comb and on the ground. Even though I considered this organic and natural, some individuals may be sensitive to one of the ingredients listed above. But other than that, I highly recommend this shampoo. It does make my hair thin and limp hair squeaky clean, shiny with added volume.

Have you tried using organic shampoo? What brand can you recommend? Thank you dearies!

Good Times!~

  6. Shampoos with Vitamin E and Essential Oils are really a must have. At the price of P600, I think it's reasonably priced. Too bad it's only sold at selected stored :(
